7 years, 3 kids, 4 houses and Lots of Dead Goldfish…

5 Jul

My husband and I had our 7th wedding anniversary this week. It’s hard to wrap my head around everything that we’ve done in the past 7 years. The most shocking part of our union is that we created three total and complete human beings from nothing. All we did was meet, get married and then we made humans. Not one, not two, but three! My body even decided to make things complicated by having me grow two of those humans at once. I never like to do anything the average way, I had to trick things up a bit.

I don’t think we are the same people we were when we met at 26. When I stood under the Chuppah in front of 300 people I didn’t have the faintest idea what marriage really was. Change has been the main them for us since we got back from our Honeymoon. We have lived in 4 different places, he’s changed jobs, I retired from the career world, and we both ventured into our 30’s. I can still say that I chose the right person to be my partner in life and the father of my children.

I’m pretty sure he feels the same way. If you see him walking with the kids this weekend, feel free to ask him :)

Funny Anniversary Ecard: Congratulations on defying marriage statistics.
